Zion A Happy Home Foundation
As stated by the United Nations Populations Fund 2018 report, Sierra Leone is situated on the west coast of Africa, flanked by the Atlantic Ocean and bordered by Liberia and Guinea. It is a country with a young and rapidly growing population of 7,092,113 people. The country is divided into 16 districts with Freetown as its capital and most populated district, harbouring a population of 1.1Million.

Sierra Leone is a low-income country with a gross domestic product (GDP) per capita of $653.
Vitiated with a history of pain that includes a decade-long civil war which ended in 2002, the 2014 Ebola outbreak and recurrent floods which in August 2017 caused a deadly mudslide that left an estimated 1141 dead or missing, it is not a surprise that the nation has a significant number of its citizens suffering from negative mental health outcomes as a result of the traumatic events they experienced. More so, World Health Organization's 2014 report on alcohol usage and substance misuse in Sierra Leone, emphasizes a remarkably higher usage than the regional average. Consumption of Marijuana and tramadol are of increasing concern and accounts for the worsening of most of these mental disabilities. Most of these unsound people lack proper feeding, are poor people, homeless, unemployed and idle, battered by the negative trend of events they've lived. With all these insights, ZION A HAPPY HOME FOUNDATION sees a need to feed these mentally unstable Sierra Leoneaians and equally take sustainable actions towards guaranteeing them much healthier lives.
