Vocational education or Vocational Education and Training (VET), also called Career and Technical Education (CTE), refers to instructional programs or courses that focus on the skills required for a particular job function or trade and can lead to certification, a diploma or even an associate's degree.
The meme is a department of the Southwest Region in Cameroon. The department covers an area of 3,105 km² and as of 2019 had a total population of about 800,000. The capital of the department lies at Kumba, and Kumba harbours a massive population of 400,000.

As a result of the ongoing anglophone crisis, this division is one of the most affected and Kumba is a safe host to many who fled from neighbouring villages and suburbs. Most of these displaced people and underserved are idle, poor, unemployed, uneducated and unskilled. That is the reason why just like was done in the Republic of Sierra Leone, ZION A HAPPY HOME FOUNDATION thought it best to provide these categories of less privileged persons with a free Vocational Training Center to empower them with livelihood skills and make them self-reliant as they struggle to cope. The centre located at the first-storey building directly after the public tap in Kumba Town trains in the respective disciplines; Catering, Tailoring, Hair Dressing, Information Technology, Interior and Exterior Decoration, Glass work, Metal Work, Arts and crafts. Worthy of note is that this centre is equally open to training Ex-convicts.
